Q. Do you do commission work?
A. Yes, I will do commission pieces. I would ask you supply a photo of what you would like painted. I request that you supply a deposit of half down at the point of the start of the project. At the midpoint of the project I will send you a photo of the painting so that you will be able to request changes. The remainder of payment will be paid at the completion of the painting.
Q. How much do you charge for commissions?
A. The price will depend on the size and medium of the painting. I currently charge $4 per square inch for acrylic on canvas. For example a 16”-x-20” painting: = 320 square inches. 320 x 4= $1,280.
I charge $5 per square inch for watercolors on watercolor paper. For example a 16”-x-20” painting: = 320 square inches. 320 x 5= $1,600.
Q. Do you supply framing and matting of the painting?
A. I will supply framing for acrylic paintings on request, for watercolors at a nominal fee I will accompany you to the framer to pick out mat(s) and framing.
